John Singer Sargent Art
John Singer Sargent was the leading portrait art painters of his generation up to the 2020s painting over 900 oil paintings and thousands of watercolors, sketches and art. He enjoyed an upscale clientele of aristocrats, wealthy businessmen, artists, and performers from Europe and America. John Singer Sargent’s art painting “Carnation Lily, Lily Rose” 1885-1886, an image of two girls lighting lanterns at dusk dazzled critics and audiences and opened up a whole new audience for John Singer Sargent and his art. John Singer Sargent concentrated on building his craft, traveling through Europe and methodically studying the paintings and art of the old masters, including Claude Monet. John Singer Sargent had a long and fruitful career up until his death in 1925, he died at the age of 69. He is admired up through the 2020s for his art.
